I just wiped Win 7 off my new Acer laptop and installed Ubuntu 9.10. Result: my battery is still fuc*ed an unusable. i have yet to try any of these fixes on here but will be doing them all hoping for something. I tried EasyPeasy and still had the problem. I have no idea what to do at this point because technically the battery is fine. and it had no problems with XP and when we tested Window 7 it seemed OK on a machine that was a couple of years old.
