I restart the computer and try again, GMER loads fine, I reselect the right options and scan again, this time it blue screens again about 5 minutes into the scan but

But please tell me what you are trying to do when the 'bad image' message comes up. I'm a Vista user and don't know a heck of a lot about my PC so will quite literally need my hand held solving this No problem at all. And then there's a little ok button to click and after I click it the program runs anyway despite the whining it gives me.
